I loved everything about Katie and Stephen’s modern wedding in downtown Kansas City. Loews Hotel KC has got to be one of the best places to take wedding portraits, period. The Bardot is also a stunning venue, so a combination of the two? Absolutely incredible.

As a lot of the couples I work with are, Katie and Stephen were totally up for leaving traditional wedding photos behind. The editorial shots of them on the staircase at Loews are AMAZING. Not to mention the beyond gorgeous sunset portraits with Kansas City in the background!

Katie and Stephen were fantastic to work with, and just so much fun all around. Not included in this post are the party bus photos, documenting the wedding party stopping by The Peanut for a drink before the ceremony. Can you get more Kansas City than that? But the true star of these photos is obviously Katie and Stephen’s adorable fur baby, Bodie!

The details sprinkled throughout Katie and Stephen’s day were insane– have you ever seen towels with the couples’ initials as a crest given out during cocktail hour? I didn’t think so! It was such a unique touch that really got the guests into party mode when it came time for first dances.
