A while back, I posted Gillian and Ryan’s destination wedding, and I knew I just had to follow up with their post wedding session! The Garza Blanca in Puerto Vallarta is one of the most luxurious resorts I’ve ever experienced. Gillian and Ryan’s wedding- planned by As You Wish KC– was truly one for the books. After their breathtaking nuptials, we gathered poolside for some ridiculously stunning shots. 

Poolside sessions are a true love of mine. With contemporary styling, you can really bring such a chic and modern feel to what would otherwise be just any other pool. Of course, seeing as we were situated with breathtaking scenery, styling was simple. Gillian’s little white bikini is elegant and bridal in a beautifully understated way. Complete with that wide-brimmed sun hat, she looked completely perfect. 

A detail about this session I love so much is the infinity pool. With the two of them at the edge, it looks like the line between the pool and ocean blur, and just goes on forever. The ocean is a lot like marriage itself! Unpredictable and unknown, but something you wade into with someone else, excited to explore the depths together.
