I am so in love with this modern engagement studio session. Abby and Kory were the absolute perfect couple to work with to bring this vision to life! 

Gone are the days of stuffy, poorly posed and executed engagement photos, you guys! The new wave of chic and modern couples photography is in, and Abby and Kory’s session is a Pinterest-perfect representation. 

Let’s start with each of their looks, because yes, I am obsessed. The whole concept of bride and groom were kind of broken down and reimagined, with Abby’s gorgeous, tulle tiered dress and Kory’s minimal black attire. It might seem simple, but with modern shoots like this, the perfection comes together with the details. 

Abby is accessorized in just the right way to make sure the focus is all on the dress, but you can still pick out the incredible attention to detail the more you look at the photos. Her fresh makeup and sleek hair were the final touches to bring her look together. The casual, model-off-duty vibe is EVERYTHING.I love Kory’s all-black look. Again, when you get to see the details, like the ribbing of his shirt and the buckle on his shoes, that’s when everything comes together. His outfit is classic so that Abby’s can shine.

Then you have the posing, which is, of course, flawless. We focused on little movements and interactions between them. I love Abby’s head on Kory’s shoulder, and his kissing her neck. It’s intimate yet playful– a perfect combination. Also, Abby’s solo shots with the beautiful, kind of edgy arrangement of baby’s breath is just stunning.
