This is my first engagement session of the 2020 year!
I met Madi and Zach last June at the 1890 Summer showcase. We all hit it off immediately.. haha, kinda sounds like we are in a relationship now. But seriously when you are getting married you kinda have to be in a relationship with your photographer. They are the most vulnerable “thing” you hire. You have to be photographed.. and who honestly is super thrilled thinking about that if you are not a model?
However, you will see below that Madi and Zach ROCKED their engagement session. They were quick learners with the poses and they just melted into each other like bread and butter.
I am so happy that my posing technique is so easily picked up by all my couples and it gives them the confidence to feel amazing within just minutes of the session starting. I am definitely not one of those photographers who says ” okay, do something cute” or “be dramatic”
What does that even mean? haha.
What do you even do when that is said to you?
We started at Kauffman Center of Performing Arts to be draped in the fabulous white steal backdrop. Notice how Madi’s golden yellow dress pops off the screen.
We quickly went to Liberty Memorial to grab some iconic backgrounds of downtown Kansas City.
Their gorgeous session ended with us at Nelson Atkins, my top favorite place in Kansas City to photograph. Their adorable 1.5-year-old dog, Ellie, met up with us and she stole the entire show!
We ended their session with a gorgeous picnic. We popped some champagne, poured some wine, ate some delicious cheese, and had a blast together. I loved everything about this shoot. What a great way to start the season…
