I want to make something clear- romantic engagement sessions do not mean traditional engagement sessions! Romantic is a word that sometimes can have a softer connotation, but I want to reinvent that understanding. Mariah and Cole have such a strong connection, and it was so much fun to marry (ha ha) our editorial style with their pure, joyful love.

Mariah and Cole wanted the best of both worlds: a session split between a modern cityscape and ethereal garden spread. Plus, why not take the chance to enjoy two separate bottles of champagne? It’s always a party with us, we assure you. Some of my favorite images from the hotel session? The breathtaking overhead shots. I CANNOT get enough of those. I love how they both coordinated their cool, downtown styles. Romping all around the city, Mariah and Cole were easily the most chic people around.

As for the picnic portion of this session, Mariah’s dresses was stunning. I really think I’m going to be dreaming about that dress, y’all. It was everything! Timeless, modern and effortless. Cole’s light blue suit jacket was the perfect pop of color for the beautiful scenery. Giving yourselves a mix of city cool and high-society garden party is an amazing way to get the best of both worlds.
