Aly and James’s 1920s inspired wedding at Hotel Kansas City was one for the books. Everything about it was so stunning, like a dreamy Vogue editorial spread come to life.
I was so happy that the whole Ashley Ice crew was there. Not a single moment was missed from Aly and James’s big day! We had so much fun with the bridal party as they got ready. If you haven’t noticed, I am loving sunglasses for my brides– they are the perfect, chic accessory. Once Aly was ready, she was truly breathtaking. The detail and lace of her gown were just gorgeous, and she was styled to perfection.
The cocktail hour was beautiful on the terrace of the hotel. I was obsessed with all the guests looking so modern and glam. Aly and James had a blast with the champagne tower, of course! I loved photographing them walking through the empty reception hall to have some intimate moments before the rest of the festivities. It’s so important to take time to have moments for just the two of you.
Aly’s second dress was EVERYTHING. Her stunning silk gown reminded me of a silent film star, but the matching sneakers with James brought the look to the 21st century. We ended the night with a newlywed stroll through downtown, which was an editorial dream. I am loving getting to be so creative with couples. When they see the vision and put full trust in us, we get so many incredible moments.
