LET THE CHILD BE A CHILD
During the session I let the child/children "control" the shoot.
I will give suggestions and ideas for them and I go with their flow.
This will keep the session moving smoothly.
ENJOY THEM NOW WHILE YOU CAN
I do ask that parents refrain from directing and just watch their children's personalities unfold.
Laugh, giggle, and making small talk with them is the perfect way to keep children calm, neutral, and energetic throughout the shoot.
I want you to enjoy yourself thoroughly too and not worry about getting the "perfect posed smile".
SHOES
I suggest that all family members go without shoes, even when we are in nature.
There is something so beautiful about bare toes in the studio and in nature for family portraits.
Little kids love this part the most! They get to feel more free and comfortable.
OUTFITS
I do not have a client closet as I prefer families find outfits that they already have. The point of my style is to be your most authentic you. I do request that you do stray from busy patterns and screen print t-shirts. We will go into detail after booking what you can grab from your own closet or at your local target to make our shoot you.
