When Nichole and Mike reached out about their Mission Hills engagement session, I knew it was going to be a good one. Mission Hills Country Club is such a beautiful spot, and they made the most of it with two outfits, a champagne toast, and the prettiest golden hour to end the evening. The whole session felt relaxed from start to finish, which is exactly how engagement photos should feel!
Why I Love a Mission Hills Engagement Session
Mission Hills Country Club has so many great spots without ever feeling like you’re walking all over the place. You get classic architecture, beautiful landscaping, open green space, and some of the best sunset light around. It’s one of those locations that gives your gallery a lot of variety while still keeping everything cohesive. Nichole and Mike started the session in a classic white dress and navy suit, then changed into a second look that felt a little softer and more playful. I always tell couples that bringing two outfits is worth it if you can, it gives your gallery a different feel without adding a ton of extra time.
Golden Hour Made This Mission Hills Engagement Session Even Better
The last part of the evening was easily my favorite. We popped champagne, wandered around the property, and let the sunset do its thing. There wasn’t a strict shot list or anything that felt overly posed. They were just enjoying being together, and those are always the moments that end up being my favorites. One thing I loved about Nichole and Mike was how easy they were to photograph. They laughed through the entire session, trusted the process, and were up for anything. Those are the sessions that always feel effortless, and I think you can see that in every photo.
